Yes, he did have a wife named Jane Ghent. (I was a skeptic.) She was born in SC in 1887. Her sister Sally Ghent lived with them in 1850. Apparently both sisters died before 1860. In 1860, "S. Gent Mattison" lived with Benjamin. She appears to be a daughter, named after her aunt, born in SC in 1821.Thomas Glover Mattison appears to be Benjamin's son. He lived near Benjamin in Benton in 1850, and in Talladega Co AL in 1860.Wiley W. Mattison appears to be a son, also. He lived in Talladega Co AL in 1850 and 1860. He had sons named Benjamin and George and a daughter named Jane. He was born in SC in 1806. His wife named Mahala was born in TN in 1815.It is a good working assumption that the following were also Benjamin's sons:George F. Mattison b. SC 1823, lived in Talladega Co in 1860.M. B. (Benjamin?) Mattison b. SC 1824, lived in Talladega Co in 1860.I expect there were more children, but this is a lot more than we had. What do you think?Ed CaseFresno CANotify Administrator about this message?Followups: No followups yetPost FollowupReturn to Message ListingsPrint Messagehttp://genforum.genealogy.com/mattison/messages/441.htmlSearch this forum: Search all of GenForum:Proximity matchingAdd this forum to My GenForum Link to GenForumAdd Forum Home | Help | About Us | Site Index | Jobs | PRIVACY | Affiliate© 2007 The Generations NetworkRe: Benjamin Mattison - Ala 1830-1840
