DIED - Mar. 23, 1998 ** MRS. LAKIE M. WELLMAN BALLENGEE, 82, of Huntington, W. Va., in St. Mary’s Hospital. Born Aug. 2, 1915 at Louisa, KY, a daughter of the late John Ira and Bertha (Blackburn) Wellman. Preceded in death by her husband, Bert S. Ballengee; a son, Don Ballengee; a daughter, Mabel Ballengee.
Survivors include two sons, Dale and Andy Ballengee; three daughters, Clara Hamlin, JoAnne Drown, and Helen Louise McMullen; one sister, Hazel Swim. Burial Mar. 27, 1998 in Bowen Cemetery, Wayne County, W. Va.
