Re: Alberson genealogy - Alberson - Family History & Genealogy Message Board - Ancestry.com

John N Matthews, born 1810 (looks like I N Matthews in the 1860 Census), married Elizabeth Alberson, born 1813. Elizabeth was the daughter of Early Alberson and Nancy Averett - she is named in Early's 1865 will (Early died in Miller county, Missouri). The Alberson children listed in their home in the 1860 Census are the children of Elizabeth's brother David S Alberson and his wife Louisa Coy, both of whom died before 1860. These children are identified as David's heirs in Early's will.Solomon married Mary Ellen Spalding, the widow of his brother John G. John G had been killed in the Civil War in 1862; Solomon was also killed in the Civil War, in 1864, making Mary Ellen a double Civil War widow.Benjamin married Mary Miranda Rowan, and they moved on to Kansas.I have no information on Elizabeth, other than the fact that she was listed as being 5 years old in the 1850 Census, and 13 in the 1860 Census.
